JCOGS OTP Pro HTML Emails is a companion add-on for ExpressionEngine that extends JCOGS OTP Pro with designer-controlled email templates. It enables you to deliver JCOGS OTP Pro verification emails using custom HTML and plain-text templates, so your security messages match your brand, tone, and user experience.

How HTML Emails Work

JCOGS OTP Pro HTML Emails plugs into JCOGS OTP Pros delivery system as an optional provider. When configured, JCOGS OTP Pro renders verification emails using your templates (subject line, HTML body, and plain-text body), then sends them via ExpressionEngine's email configuration.

This approach gives you the best of both worlds:

• Security remains consistent JCOGS OTP Pro still enforces a short-lived verification step.
• Presentation becomes customisable you control the content and layout to suit your site and your members.

Minimum Requirements

HTML Emails requires ExpressionEngine 6.4.18+ (including EE7+) and PHP 8.2+. It also requires JCOGS OTP Pro to be installed, and a working email configuration (SMTP or server mail) so verification emails can be delivered reliably.

Installation

• Copy the jcogs_otp_html_emails folder to system/user/addons and install via the ExpressionEngine Control Panel.
• In JCOGS OTP Pro, enable/configure the HTML Emails delivery option (as available) and paste your template content into the provider settings.

Companion Add-ons

HTML Emails is itself a companion add-on for JCOGS OTP Pro. It pairs especially well with other companions (such as Magic Links), allowing you to deliver beautifully branded emails whether your verification step is a typed code or a one-click link.
